ADAS Validation Engineer (m/f/d)


Basic Function:

For upcoming requirements by the General Safety Regulation for commercial vehicles by the European Union a several number of new advanced driver assistance functions and active safety functions must be introduced in trucks. Therefore, the number of ADAS sensors installed in the vehicle will increase as well. The candidate will fulfil the supporting role of vehicle validation in the specification of these functions in terms of system definition, performance definition and related functional safety tasks. He will also participate in dedicated workshops with the supplier. For system validation on vehicle level the candidate will be responsible for validation planning by defining the tests to be executed also with related costs and effort. In safety relevant functions the candidate will care about the traceability for full test coverage. While test execution on test track, road test and endurance test the candidate will perform the tests, analyze the measurements and create reports. Due to constantly growing up of the ADAS functions in heavy commercial vehicles, the candidate has also to keep his own knowledge up to date by literature and trainings. Based on that, the testing facilities have constantly to be kept on state of the art and necessary purchasing activities must be planned in time. Supplier selection for ADAS testing facilities must be supported in the purchasing process.


Requirements: Successful completed University degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, electronical engineering, mechatronics or similar  Knowledge of ADAS systems in automotive Industry Knowledge of installation and usage of measurement equipment as well as signal Analysis  Knowledge of electric and electronic applications in automotive area  Knowledge of tools from Vector Informatics like CANalyzer, CANoe  Matlab Simulink and Software application on trucks or automotive and programming in .net framework is a plus  Fluent English  Truck driver license (CE) and experience is a plus  Teamwork attitude, problem solving capabilities, good communication skills, proactivity, accountability
