Vehicle Commissioning Engineer (f/m/d)

location: Ulm

Start: ab sofort

Tasks:

  • Commission test and demonstration vehicles
  • Execute functional, integration and safety test
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure on time vehicle release
  • Provide transparency of the vehicle status. Define necessary activities and reasonable deadlines to maintain vehicle availability in required conditions
  • Plan, coordinate and track any hardware or software changes on vehicles
  • Troubleshoot and analyze low voltage electrical/electronic and mechanical issues, using documentation, instrumentation, and input from the engineer
  • Thoroughly and efficiently document issues and support root cause investigations
 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in vehicle operations and field test activities. Experience as a flying doctor is a plus.
  • Truck or Automotive Testing Experience. Experience with FCEV and/or BEV vehicles is a plus.
  • Experience with automotive software development, instrumentation, and calibration tools (Vector CANape, ETAS INCA, etc.)
  • Certification of HV training.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols and electrical architectures.
  • Good understanding of system/component design/development processes
  • Availability for business trips within Europe
